It is made in India from recycled silk sari fabric,
which means that each skein is different.
The colors in these are all over the map! See
the images below for samples.
Each skein is about 100 grams, or 3-4 ounces.
You get about 110 yards per skein.
The recommended needle size is 9 or 10.
This yarn makes great projects- my winter hat
is made from this type of yarn and it is very warm, let lightweight.
It is not itchy. It is also great for craft projects, tassels,
trims, art dolls, etc.
