38 birds are listed in the table of contents. Most have pretty illustrations, some are full page. The author gives basic information and then it looks like short, informative prose pieces about each bird.
Paperback cover has wear. There is a bulge in the middle on about the last 15 pages. It might be very slight water damage. We do not see any obvious missing pages, tears or marks inside the book.
